The Second Column podcast computer is dead

second column, podcast, computer, free, funny, comedy

I have some sad news to report. The official computer of The Second Column podcast died last week. It was 11 years old and ran on a Pentium 2. (Yes, it was the computer the pilgrims brought over on The Mayflower.) Mike mourned the loss of his beloved machine by getting blind drunk on Friday night. A replacement computer is in the mail, though nothing can really replace the computer that got us through the first 149 episodes of our podcast. I have included a photo of the computer, from better days. That’s its monitor in the background. The dog is my little buddy Chloe. The identity of the vodka-swilling man in the photo is unknown.

I was there when it happened. I heard its’ death rattle.

Kevin is a known computer killer, keep him far away. When is the funeral? I vote for a viking funeral.

  • RIP!
