Ohio University Strategic Social Media

I had the honor of teaching the E.W. Scripps School of Journalism’s first Strategic Social Media class. The 12-week course, which was offered online by Ohio University, focused on the best practices for representing an organization on blogs and social media platforms. We covered SEO, listening, voice, conversation, evaluation, planning, outreach, ethics and risks. We also spent time on a handful of business strategies such ¬†as “jobs to be done” and “blue ocean.”
